Facebook Choose North West Skills Partners
International tech giants Facebook, alongside FreeFormers, have launched it’s first ever Digital Skills Training Programme in our very own city of Liverpool, secured and steered by us, The Extraordinary Club and in partnership with Agent Academy. It’s the first time Liverpool has seen a partnership as big as this and we’re excited to be delivering this programme to the young people of our city.
This programme forms part of a Europe-wide initiative led by technology giant ‘Facebook,’ to help young people and businesses grow and equip more people with the digital skills they need to compete in today’s workplace. The training focuses on enabling people to develop confidence and skills for future employment in a digital economy – especially those found to be lacking in the current workforce
This programme will be delivered across the EU to over 75,000 18-30 year olds including the UK, France, Germany, Poland, Italy and Spain.
All training will be individually tailored – from someone with strong digital skills learning about design-thinking to someone who wants to gain employment learning how to improve their online presence. Training will cover modules including innovation, prototyping, web presence and social marketing.
We’re so pleased to be partnering with such an international brand, Facebook and of course, our good friends at Agent Academy. Here at The Extraordinary Club, we’re committed to inspiring creative and digital leaders of the future through skills development, business support and growth consultancy. We work with some of the North West’s most cutting edge talent and pioneers from the worlds of film, TV, games and technology so we’re excited to give back to our city and help up-skill the new digital generation.
Dawn Paine, Co-Founder of The Extraordinary Club said, “We are delighted to be launching Facebook’s first ever UK digital skills training programme in the North West and specifically in Liverpool, to create more of a level playing field for our region’s young people in the digital world.”
Agent Academy and The Extraordinary Club will be responsible for delivering training across the North West, with the programme then being rolled out throughout the country. They will be hosting workshops and festivals across the North West and are inviting individuals and businesses to get involved
Already the team have been successful in the implementation of the Digital Skills Training Programme with the likes of The City of Liverpool College and The University of Liverpool boasting the positives that these sessions have brought to their students.
